Hello to all of our Night to Shine Honored Guests, Families, Volunteers, and Staff!
We are beginning the joy and challenges of pulling together this incredible night for another year! This year Night to Shine will occur on February 7th at Terra State Community College. It will be another chance to celebrate our Special Needs population of NW Ohio while giving them a chance to dance, party and partake of a night like no other! While we anticipate a huge turnout, we are making some changes of which you may want to be aware.
Buddies: All Honored Guests will be escorted by a Buddy this year. This will free-up family members to enjoy the Hospitality Room for the evening.
The Hospitality Room: This area for families is being expanded this year. It will have a pool table, ping pong table, comfy couches, yummy food, raffles, door prizes and much more! We will also be live streaming the event into the room so families can watch their loved ones having the time of their lives. (Remember – this is a night for the families to enjoy respite from the constant care of their loved one, meet other families, and still be on site if necessary.) We are highly encouraging families to take advantages of this site. You will not be disappointed! Family members who partake of the Hospitality Room must register but do not have to be background checked. (Unfortunately, due to space restrictions, we can only admit only 2 family members per individual to the Hospitality Room)
Volunteer Break Room: Though we are not providing volunteer meals this year, there will be a break room with various snacks and beverages where volunteers can take a brief break and grab a quick snack in between events.
Background Checks: As always, all volunteers must have a current background check (within the past 24 months of the event). This is a Tim Tebow Foundation requirement. This also applies to any family member who is volunteering for the event.
Info Meetings: All volunteers are required to attend at least one information meeting. This is critical this year since there are many changes from past Night to Shine events.
Registration: Anyone coming to the event is required to register this includes: Guests, volunteers, family members, and agency staff. Registration will be open from November 15, 2024 to December 31, 2024 or until we’ve reached the maximum number allowed. Space is limited so register soon!
Please Remember: This special night is for our Honored Guests! It is for them that the Tim Tebow Foundation created Night to Shine 11 years ago, and why New Hope Vineyard continues to host this amazing event in Fremont, Ohio!
